I used AC21 3 months ago and filled the paperwork with USCIS. No RFE yet but I would not care if I get an RFE as well...
I think it is best to notify USCIS. I hired Murthy and I don't think they are doing this just to get money. If your case gets messed u say 3-4 yeare later and you end up taking UCSIS in court then this paperwork (which USCIS will most probably do nothing with) will be very helpful.

It seems you can start working as soon as the application is sent out. This was the advice given to my firend by his attorney.
He consulted some other lawyers. They say that it is safe to get the receipt number before starting to work.
So to be on the most safe side, wait until you get the receipt number.
But many people do start soon after sending the transfer petition...I know people who have done that. My friend is also not going to wait for the receipt as he has to join immediately.
I am in the process of changing job. The new employer is saying that I can start working with them from the very next day, after they file H1B transfer application. ie I don't have to wait for the receipt. Is this true? They are asking me to give 2 weeks notice immediately so that by the time they file H1B, 2 weeks will get over, and I can start there immediately.
Please reply its kind of urgent for me.

Does your Attorney says that counter will start from Aug 28, 2007 ?
Did he say anything about Aug 28, 2007 falling out of Aug 17, 2007 limit date for filing AOS and can that cause any issues?
I am still waiting for an answer from my Attorney. Will post the details here as soon as I hear anything from them.

I think you mean I need to see which dates are processing @ NSC; if my I-140 reciept date exceed more than 60 days then I can request my Attorney to got for SR(Service Request)?

I am in US right now on H1B status, I've my wife on H4 status, I'll be leaving to renew my H1B again, but I heard that some people get their case under review for months, so I am planning to re-enter to US using my AP in case this happened to me.
My question now:
Would re-entering to US using my AP void my wife's H4 status? Knowing the fact that I'll be working with my H1B status and I am not planning to use my EAD

I read dailykos.com, a liberal blog site, often. Recently, there has been a spate of postings there that are anti H-1B and anti high tech immigration. One example, from today, is: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/3/28/82450/4208. I have been posting comments as cacophonix.
dailykos.com is the most powerful and most popular liberal blog. Opinion that gets set there is influential with Democratic legislators. There is significant support there for high-tech immigration, but I think the tide could easily turn.
I need help from fellow IVers in refuting such ridiculous diaries as the one above. Please register and follow developments there, and please post responses when these issues come up.
I can't stress this enough: dailykos has a strict trolling/abuse policy. If you lose your cool and start abusing, you will get banned in a flash. So please be courteous.
I read your response, it was good and I signed up as well. I will post my response refuting anti h1 rhetoric.
On a separate note Logiclife response was spot on and I hope IV will follow in the footsteps of dailykos in dealing with the nonsense mongers.
I will take this opportunity to bring some anti-h1 rhetoric and h1 bashing that happens in our very own IV site!!!!!!!. I don’t want to name the individual who specializes in h1 bashing, so as not to make it a personal attack on that individual. A few days ago I posted a message on one of the threads in IV saying day by day reading some responses on h1 bashing makes me feel like I am on an anti-immigrant website rather than a website fighting for legal eb immigrants.
It feels sad and disheartening to see some members attacking h1 when they themselves are on h1. By attacking h1 they are attacking the very movement and people that IV is trying to help. Sure there are some abuses on h1 but lets not attack h1 like anti immigrants. Let’s fight the people outside who attack h1 and this community but let’s also clean our own house as well and not parrot the same anti h1 rhetoric in IV forum.

I called the general customer service number - National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283.
As I mentioned earlier, I did not go through with the options of sending the info. to the US consulate. But I will give it a try tomorrow. I don't know what you can do with that option (PIMS etc), but it is worthwhile to explore.
At what number did you call? Was it Kentucky Consular Center? Do you mean that we can have our information sent to PIMS system or consulate in India? In other words, does that say anything particularly about PIMS?

My labor is also pending with the Dallas BEC. My priority date is Nov 2001, non-RIR. The online system still shows that my case is in process.

I think poster bestia mentioned yesterday that you can somehow speed up the process if you pay a certain amount for faster processing? That's another thing I want to look into for my friend. May I ask you how you check the status of that online? I think she sent in the original application but she never got anything back so she doesn't have a case number or anything. Thanks!

What is the purpose of this poll? Why start from 2005 (and not from 2001) ?
trueguy has a poll started for period from 2001 to 2004 and I have started this for 2005-2008.

Hei... when you have the opportunity for an earlier PD just take it. Nobody can predict how EB1 PD will be in future. You loose nothing.
A more aggressive approach is to do concurrent filing for EB1-140 and another 485. But I wont do that.

Thanks Fred. Very helpful. Other comments appreciated. The white ceramic is an old insulator for an electrified wire that is obviously long ago rusted away. The fence surrounded a holding yard for dairy cattle.

I have a valid H-1B valid till 18th feb 2011 for employment with my previous employer. I had changed employment and now have I797C for the new employer valid till Nov 2011. I plan to go to India and be back in 1 week, my employer would issue me a leave approval letter. My present employer is a big hospital-non profit and I am a health professional.
Can some one tell if would need to get a new visa stamped if I come back by 15th January 2011. What documents should I carry. Should I talk to a lawyer before I leave. My mom is stable now but I am afraid If dont go now, I might not be able to gor a long time as I dont want to get re-stamping done.
