I just happened to see a copy of my labor approval. My current salary is less than the salary mentioned in labor approval. Do you know whether it is legally valid?. My salary is as per the LCA for H1.
its fine. Your salary should match the LCA salary. The LC salary is for 'future job'. the only place it might come into play is if your employer is very small, and there are ability-to-pay issues (here, if your current salary matches LC salary then its easier to say that employer has ability to pay).

In the words of William F. Buckley Jr..... some of my first instincts are reprehensible! Glad you finally got CS2....How are you liking it so far? (It IS out of the box isn't it?)
It is out and installed. I loaded up the rainbow picture, did an adjustment layer, but don't seem to be making changes that really improve the shot. I'll try some more later, but I have to go, the sun is about to rise :)

I have a unique situation and I would really appreciate if someone can answer.
My LC and 140 was approved (March 2006) for Company A when I was working there on H1. After retrogration I changed jobs (November 2006) and went to work for Company B. My lawyer said we can apply for AOS using the approved 140 from company A. I did send the application which reached there on July 2nd. Now, do I have to go and work for Company A (which actually is not an option any more)? Or I can keep working for Company B and if 180 days are passed since the filing/receipt date I will be safe to obtain the GC? Company B is ready to start a new process for GC but if I can use the previously approved 140 and get AOS/GC approved, I really would like to do that.
Please help...:confused:

My RFE is with regards to Employer's ability to pay. Somehow, my employer hasn't submitted anything yet and the deadline is on Thurs Oct. 11. What will happen if we are not able to submit anything by the deadline? Will the app automatically get denied?

This slumdog needs a solid, old fashioned butt whipping: open to public, health-care-debate-like telecast, take his pants off, bend him over, highest priority to curry with Z-E-R-O U.S. education.
Who exactly is Ron Hira? What is his motive? why is he doing all this? And why is he so influential?
I am under the impression that he is influentiaal because he does what the antis like.
On a broader note - we all would be happy to see a system which is not so complex and there is a well defined process which Ron Hira also says he wants to see, but his bashing of foreign nationals and employers says he is basically of the kinds "shut the door behind me" attitude.
But I know the end.

AC21 allows you to change jobs after 180 days of filing before getting your green card. I do not think that you can invoke AC 21 after you have got your GC.
Greencard is usually for future employment. But with the EB immigration, the same employer who you work for applies for your greencard. With this AC21 law, they allow you to change jobs if your 485 is pending for more than 6 months which means that after you get your greencard INS don't expect you to be back working for the employer who applied for your greencard.
Eventhough there is no fixed time period specified, if you work for 6 months they should not have any issues.

The Board of Immigration Appeals has ruled, in a unanimous, en banc decision, that an adjudication of youthful offender status under New York law does not constitute a judgment of conviction for a crime under the Immigration and Nationality Act. The BIA also held that the respondent's subsequent resentencing following a probation violation did not convert the youthful offender violation into a judgment of conviction. A person holding H-4 can attend college in the U.S. In fact, some colleges offer in-state tuition for H-4 students. Check Brooklyn College for instance. INA does not specifically disallow from attending college of H-4 nor H-1 and colleges are aware of this. So if your wife is doing this only because she would like to pursue degree, I would suggest she explores the options and if possible remains on H-4, which is a dual intent status.

i agree with kevin, looking at it from my work monitor. I will check at home later - there was a big difference between the 2 on your other shots from this series.
With the first shot, the zero detail black area is pretty much background and oof anyway so there is no real loss. There is enough detail where it counts - around the eyes and face to make it work. There is also really nice detail in the grey border to the black area.
The only nit I'd have, and it is just a nit, is that from where I am looking at the moment the front of the beak is very slightly oof. I suspect it could be sharpened as much as needed with the sharpening tool in CS2. You might also tone down the oof leaf in the foreground right that is a bit distracting.
I really like the play of light and shadow on the other one. If you don't mind I might play with it a bit in CS2. QJ's instructions have got me all fired up and I've been masking my way to nirvana for the past 2 weeks.

You and your wife can simultaneously file an I-130 immigrant petition and I-485 application to adjust your status to permanent resident along with an application for employment authorization. To properly assemble and document these filings--including the affidavit of support---can be tricky. My best advice is for you to retain the services of an experienced local immigration lawyer to represent you through the process.
Thank you i was absolutely dreading someone telling me all was lost and i would be deported at the first opportunity.

This sustain act is total BS. They want to increase H1-B numbers without reforming the EB system. They do not want to increase EB numbers. They do not want to do away with country quotas. They don't have country quotas in H1-B. This just creates more and more backlogs for everyone. I HOPE THIS BILL DOESN'T PASS. The companies and lawmakers just want cheap labor without "paying" for it. Just a bunch of self-serving bigots !

Ok, this is something I don't think I have an eye for at all (or have ever had an eye for, yet).
I have a photo project for a other photo study I'm taken. It's to photo a beauiful outdoor vista (any outdoor scene I pick).
The objective is to produce a picture that gives a feeling of distance-a feeling of near or far.
The subject is to photo a wonderful view that stretches as far as the eye can see.
So am I even close or maybe getting close to achieving this?
What do you think?
