Well, music and Sony. ;)
I'd love to see RATM win just for the fun of it, but I reckon the fact that Joe's single is going on sale in shops will win it. Killing in the Name was out in 1992? There won't be any physical copies to buy, and that'll make all the difference...

I thought I would like the push for this, but I actually find it annoying. I have updates sent to me via text messaging and I think I like that better. At least I can turn it off if I don't like it which is nice.

I grew up on a pc and now I choose Mac because it's so much better in my opinion. Personally I'm not liberal and I'm not super conservative either. I odiously care about my appearance, and I'm not a vegetarian. I do like the Beatles though wherever that fits in. So I'm not anywhere near this statistic. Windows Is more complicated, but it would be fine if it wasn't slow, get viruses all the time, and when u click an app it doesn't take ten min to pop up (not to mention u get so frustrated u click it several time and then like 7 windows pop up). Personally this never happens to my Mac iknow my way a round both os's but I also own most apple products. I take care of the pc sitting in the basement my dad uses it for email when he is not on the iPad, so it doesn't get that much use but it slows down fast so we clean it out every year ( back what we need up and then wipe the thing). The pc is cheeper that is why most of the world uses them, there is a thiving computer repair business for a reason (not many for Mac). But whatever floats your boat I guess lol

Seriously, does anyone know how to use an email address that is not a mac.com address as the reply-to in .mac webmal?
I only use the webmail at work, and at home Mac OS X Mail lets me use my "real" email address as the reply-to. I would love to know how to do it in webmail. An earlier poster said you can, but I just can't see how.
Thanks for the help...

You're welcome. Hope you like your SSD upgrade. You may wish to take a look at http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1125400
Some older Mac Minis can have the CPU upgraded, but on both 09 Minis (they are very, very similar) the CPUs are definitely soldered on. This kind of info would be shown in a teardown of a Mac (these tend to be done fairly quickly after a new model is released)

Apples and Oranges.
D&^$ it all anyway JD! I was gonna do an apples and oranges for this one. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
Meanwhile, last day of a long weekend down here in the Baja. will post a few photos on the POTD thread from the trip - and ponder how to address this challenge WITHOUT apples and oranges. Darnit!

If you are concerned about letting friends see where you are, create a list called "placesfriends" and use privacy settings to only show your "Places I check in" to friends on that list.

It's a great deal; can I hire someone to convince my wife I need an iPad? Nothing I can say will convince her otherwise ;)
I am right there with ya. Great deal, I want one, but can't quite get the approval to spend $ I don't really have. I just got the credit card paid off.....

I remember reading either here or on Appleinsider that if this goes well enough, they can use this chip to replace batteries. The thing with that is, if we take away the battery, where does the original power come from? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is my understanding that it'll take the heat from the cpu and convert it to electricity. If the computer was off and the cpu was the same temperature as the rest of the computer, how will it create the electricity? I'm all for using it, but as an addition to the battery, not a replacement for the battery.

how does it confirm that ??? apple has previewed things in April, but showcased the whole thing in June in the past.. and this is an announcement for the Showcase.
I don't know... perhaps the "Join us for a preview of the future of iOS and Mac OSX" Seems like we will be seeing the new iOS features for the first time.

This demonstrates that Adobe is a bunch of morons. If they listened to Apple and used xCode they could click one button and produce a universal binary.
Perhaps Adobe writes ****** software that isn't engineered to be platform independant.

I was running through matches this past weekend, and nearly all my settings were medium, and 2d portrait. Using the dedicated graphics card (low end model with 256MB).
It ran fairly well for a beta, I had a few crashes but not graphics related. Upon starting up SC2 the opening menu is choppy, but the game is extremely playable. And even more so if you were to set your settings on low.
Either way it will be exciting come July 27.
(I'm planning on getting the new mac pro, and boosting the graphics, and game it out!)

Schmidt: Hey Steve, you think a quarter's an okay tip? I mean, it's only a latte.
Steve: Pffft. No wonder you're rich.
Schmidt: (Looks around furtively. Whispers.) All in pennies - so it looks bigger. Yeah?
Steve: They'll count it, dummy!
Schmidt: Okay. I'll hand it to that *other* server, and ask him to pass it on?
Steve: (Sighs. Shakes head) They're going to see it all eventually so who cares how they get it.
(Okay, maybe not :) )

That almost makes me feel bad for selling a 16GB Wi-Fi only for $375 last week. oh well...I'm over it.
Don't feel bad I bought a first gen iPad right before the iPad 2 launch. I paid $500 for a 32GB 3G, and I still love it! Worth the money and will hold me over till iPad 3 retina display!

As for Trump, I have to agree with mrkramer that he's the male version of Palin.
And, uh...you know he's got a penchant for naming everything after himself, right? How does The United States of Trump grab you?
